Kantara Prequel: It is known that Kantara Chapter 1, which is coming as a prequel to the film Kantara, will be released on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti this year. But there are obstacles in the shooting of this film. Many people are protesting that forests are being destroyed in the name of film shooting. Currently, the shooting of this film is going on in the Gavigudda forest area of Karnataka.
Obstacles in Kantara Chapter 1..
Do you know that the film Kantara, released in 2022, was a sensational success? The film’s hero and director Rishabh Shetty had announced a few days ago that a prequel of this film will be brought. He also told that it will be released on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti this year.
But according to a report in India Today, this prequel of Kantara is in trouble. Many local people are objecting to the fact that forests are being destroyed in the name of shooting. Sanna Swamy, local leader of Gavigudda forest area and district panchayat member, entered the fray. It is alleged that the shooting of this film is causing harm to wild animals and birds.
“Farmers are already suffering due to elephant attacks. Officials are not paying heed to the Supreme Court order to protect the forests. Appropriate action should be taken immediately before further damage occurs,” he demanded.
Local people disrupted the shooting
Many local people are disrupting the shooting of Kantara Chapter 1. Local people clashed with the crew at the shooting site. A young man got injured in the fight between the two. He was shifted to a hospital in Sakleshpur. A case has already been registered in Yeslur police station regarding this assault.
However, neither Rishabh Shetty nor the producers have responded to the allegations of forest destruction. Kantara: Chapter 1 film is going to be released on October 2 this year. The makers have already announced this. The teaser of this film was also released in November last year.
