Janagama News: Tension in Janagama district
Janagama News: Minister Ponguleti has been canceled in Janagama with Congress and BRS leaders clashing. Complete details are as follows: Joint Warangal District Samaj Minister, State Revenue, Housing and Information and Civil Relations Minister Ponguli Srinivasa Reddy is to attend the inauguration of government schemes.
During the minister’s visit, some BRS leaders were detained by the police in view of the situation in Janagama district. Earlier, Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy left for Redaganta Thanda after 3 pm.
At the same time, Janagama MLA Palla Rajeshwar Reddy along with party workers came to the meeting to demand the release of the arrested BRS leaders. Warangal West Zone spoke to DCP Raja Mahendranayak and asked him to release his workers. MLA Palla Rajeshwar Reddy reached the spot and BRS workers shouted ‘Jai Ko Palla Jai’.
This caused Congress leaders to rally behind the government against Palla. Both sides then threw chairs at each other. Chicks and tomatoes were attacked.
Police baton charge on both sides
As Congress and BRS leaders are increasing and the situation is getting worse, the police first tried to pacify both the parties. However, the police have charged both sides because no one has heard, and there is a possibility of confusion. Some BRS, Congress leaders and several journalists were injured in the police baton charge.
A worker belonging to the BRS party was left bleeding for baton blow. The police were not in this condition and the police was taken to Janagama station. The situation came under control after both the sides dispersed. Meanwhile, Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy was to attend the House in Redaganta Thanda.
Inquiry on baton charge
Janagama MLA Palla Rajeshwar Reddy has demanded a probe into the baton charge against BRS leaders. MLA Rajeshwar Reddy spoke to the media after the police baton allegation. He alleged that the police charged Baton while he was in restraints. 16 BRS workers and four media personalities were injured.
CP Amber Kishore Jha and DCP Rajmahendra Nayak have been asked to investigate the lathi charge and take action. Meanwhile, Janagama DCC president Kommuri Prathap Reddy has criticized the implementation of welfare schemes of the Congress government.
