According to details given by police and locals, Antony (34) and Sugandhi (30) are a couple in Gajasingarajapuram village. He has two daughters and a son. Sugandhi has been having an extramarital affair with Arul Raj (35) of Irugavai in her native village Nindra mandal of Chittoor district for the past few years. Antony’s husband came to know about this. The husband scolded his wife Sugandhi several times.

There are often fights between the two regarding this matter. Sugandhi used to tell her boyfriend Anil Raj about the fights happening at home. With this the boyfriend and girlfriend decided to get rid of Antony standing in their way. If the husband removes the barrier, who still thinks there is a barrier to their extramarital affair? Due to this matter, the wife along with her lover made a plan to kill her husband.

On Friday night, he along with his lover Antony tied a rope around his wife’s neck and killed her husband while he was sleeping. After this Arulraj left from there. Sugandhi remained lying at home as if she did not know anything. On Saturday morning she came out and started crying loudly and pretending to cry said that her husband had died due to drinking alcohol. At first everyone believed that it was going to be true. As a result, the news spread that Antony, who drank alcohol, had died. It was considered a normal death. But the family members were suspicious of Sugandhi’s behaviour.

But his family members and relatives asked him how this happened. As a result, his answers were inconsistent. Family members and relatives complained to the police. Police reached the spot and investigated. Police interrogated wife Sugandhi. This revealed the truth. She admitted that she along with her lover killed her husband to stop his extramarital affair. Police arrested Anil Raj along with Sugandhi. Police interrogated both the accused on Sunday.

SI Venkatesh replied that both the accused have been arrested and investigation is ongoing. Said that further action will be taken after the investigation is completed. He said that his preliminary investigation revealed extramarital affair as the reason for the murder. There were tears in the eyes of local people and family members as the children were left on the road due to this immediate decision. Children are crying. The incident created a stir at the local level.
