Nara Lokesh Yuvagalam: From padayatra to government formation… new enthusiasm in TDP with Yuvagalam
Nara Lokesh Yuvagalam: Two years ago, Nara Lokesh Yuvagalam went to the crowd at the padayatra and said that he was for the people of TDP who were suffering from insecurity, despair and depression. The Yuvagalam Padayatra covered a distance of 3132 km covering 2,097 villages in 97 assembly constituencies, 232 mandals/municipalities and 11 combined districts of the state for 226 days. The Yuvagalam Padayatra, which listened to the problems of the people and wiped their tears, continued unabated till the arrest of Chandrababu Naidu in September 2023. They continued their monotonous march without festivals and holidays. Youth played an important role in defeating the YCP government in the general elections held last year.
Go ahead even in adverse weather!
Of the 97 assembly constituencies that Yuvagalam visited, alliance candidates won 90 of them. Barring unavoidable situations like the illegal arrest of party chief Chandrababu Naidu and the death of Tarakaratna, the Yuvagalam Padayatra continued without any interruption.
Minister Lokesh continued his march in Rayalaseema even in 48 degree heat. Despite sunshine, rain and storm, Minister Lokesh continued his march. The yatra continued despite heavy rains in Emmiganur constituency. When the Padyatra reached Nandyala, the youth leader could not believe that the doctors had asked him to take rest for a few days due to pain in his arm due to fan hitting.
Lokesh participated in 70 public meetings, 155 one-on-one meetings, 12 special programs and 8 Rachabanda programs during the Yuvagalam Padayatra and got directly exposed to the issues of the public. Lakhs of people directly met the young leader and shared their struggles. The youth felt like family members and expressed their grief to the youth leader. One and a half lakh people joined the youth leader during the padyatra that lasted for 226 days.
Without going into matters…
In the combined Chittoor district, everything from Lokesh’s campaign chariot to the stool on which he was standing was pulled and an attempt was made to strangulate him. Hearing the voices of the people, they moved forward with double enthusiasm. When the Yuvagalam Padayatra reached Tambalan constituency in Kuppam, a total of 25 cases were reported at the rate of one for every 20 km. There are three cases registered against Lokesh.
The police confiscated everything including the campaign chariot, sound system, mic, stool. No matter how much they were harassed, no matter how many cases were filed, the youth group continued to move forward with determination. The Yellow soldiers did not lose their temper, even though they committed provocative acts such as throwing stones and flinging flexi in the villages to welcome the youth. Cases were registered against Yuvalam volunteers in Bhimavaram, Unguthuru, Gannavaram and Nuziveedu constituencies. 40 youth volunteers were sent to Rajahmundry jail in non-bailable cases. In Gannavaram constituency, cases have been registered against 46 prominent leaders, including those from abroad.
A youth group made a record in Rayalaseema
Several attempts were made to stop the Yuvagalam Padayatra from the combined Chittoor district to East Godavari. Young leader Lokesh covered a long distance in Rayalaseema and created such a record that no other leader had made it before. Yuvagalam Padayatra continued for 124 days in 44 assembly constituencies covering a distance of 1587 km.
JJ in Ubhaygodawari and Uttarandhra districts
The 23-day long Yuvalam Padayatra witnessed huge crowd in 17 constituencies of Ubhaya Godavari districts. Yuvagalam Padayatra continued for a total of 404 km covering 8 constituencies, 11 days, 225.5 km in combined West Godavari district, 9 constituencies, 12 days and 178.5 km in combined East Godavari district.
Janta’s government took steps towards implementing the promises
Youth leader Nara Lokesh made several promises to fulfill the aspirations of youth, women, elderly, students, SC, ST, BC and minorities during the long Yuvagalam Padayatra. A decree named Mission Rayalaseema was announced in Cuddapah specifically for the Seema people. Reflecting the promise of youth leader Lokesh Padayatra, the NDA alliance announced a manifesto named Super Six. The government is taking steps towards fulfilling the promises made by youth leader Nara Lokesh during the Padyatra.
