AP DGP Harish Gupta: Appointment of Harish Gupta as the new DGP of Andhra Pradesh.

AP New DGP: Andhra Pradesh DGP Harish Gupta has been appointed by AP government general secretary Vijayanand. The new DGP selection was finalized two weeks ago. HT Telugu said that Harish Gupta would be chosen in the interest of the fact that the current DGP Dwarka Thirumala Rao will be replaced as retiring on 17 January. The new DGP selection has been unavoidable as the state government has not sent any proposal to UPSC to continue the current DGP. Chief Secretary Vijayanand Jeevas were released on Wednesday night.

Former DGP Harish Kumar Gupta was the winner of AP DGP race. Despite the fierce competition, Chief Minister Chandrababu bowed towards him. The Central Election Commission appointed Harish Kumar Gupta as DGP in May last May. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had a major failure in the swearing -in system and on June 12 last year, there was a large -to -traffic traffic jam in the city. VIPs were not able to reach the swearing -in ceremony on time. After that, the state government chose Dwarka Thirumala Rao as DGP on 21 June.

There has been a debate in official circles whether Dwarka Thirumala Rao will end on 31 January or not. Government sources said that the decision on the new DGP selection will be taken after the visit of Chief Minister Davos.

Anjani Kumar, who was the first in seniority after Dwarka Thirumala Rao, did not come to the AP cadre. Harish Kumar Gupta will retire in August 2025. Harish Kumar does not have the opportunity to expand the duration of Dwarka Thirumala Rao. Harish Kumar was given the opportunity to replace Dwarka Thirumala Rao on seniority basis.

On 6 May last year, Harish Kumar Gupta was elected as the DGP as the Central Election Commission. In last May, Jawahar Reddy was ordered to appoint Harish Kumar Gupta as the DGP of the 1992 IPS batch. On 5 May, AP DGP KV Rajendranath Reddy voted for EC transfer.

In view of political allegations, Rajendranath Reddy was transferred to Harish in his place. In seniority, the names of Dwarka Thirumala Rao, Harish Kumar Gupta and Maddy Reddy Pratap have been suggested to AP CS EC. Among them, senior IPS of 1992 batch and Harish Kumar Gupta have been named as Easy DGP. Harish Kumar of Jammu and Kashmir has been selected for AP cadre. Harish Gupta will take over as DGP for the second time.

Sitaramanjaneu and KV Rajendranath Reddy are after Harish in seniority. Nalini Prabha and Mahesh Dixit of 93 batch were in central services. Amit Garg Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is in the National Police Academy. The 94 batch includes PV Sunil, Kumar Vishwajit, Ravi Shankar Aiyion and Balasubrahmanyam. After Harish Kumar, the DGP race Balasubrahmanyam, Ravi Shankar Aiyyanar and Kumar will be worldly.
