Padmavati Park: Movement of non-locals at Padmavati Park, where devotees lost their lives, to the center where tokens are allotted to locals

Padmavati Park: On the occasion of Vaikuntha Ekadashi in Tirumala, a fatal accident occurred as the TTD had not made arrangements as per the belief of the devotees that darshan of the Vaikuntha gate would lead to salvation. Five people lost their lives in the incident that took place at Bairagipattada Ramanaidu School on Wednesday night. Of these, four are from Uttarandhra and another is a woman from Bellary. Women of the same family lost their lives in the incident.

What happened in Tirupati stampede?

  • Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan tickets are issued annually at Ramanaidu School premises in Bairagi Patteda.
  • Earlier, tokens were issued only to the people of Tirupati city. Every year lakhs of people visit Tirumala during Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan. Since devotees had to stand in queues for several days, they started issuing tokens.
  • Around 90 counters have been set up in Tirupati city. TTD has widely publicized that devotees coming for darshan at Vaikuntha will have to obtain time slot tokens in advance.
  • It has been widely publicized in the press that only devotees with time slot tokens will be allowed darshan and time slot darshan tokens will be issued in ten areas of Tirupati.
  • Jivakona ZP High School, Tirupati, 2. Emmarpally High School, Tirupati, 3. Ramachandra Pushkarini, 4. Ramanaidu High School, Bairagipally, Tirupati, 5. Indira Maidan, Tirupati, 6. Srinivasam Complex, Tirupati, 7. Vishnu Nivasam, Tirupati , 8. .Bhudevi Complex, Tirupati with its addition, Tirumala Arrangements have been made to issue time slot tokens at Balaji Nagar Community Hall.
  • Darshan tokens will be issued by Vaikunth from 5 am on January 9. Tokens will be issued for the first day, 10th, 11th and 12th. Tokens will be issued until the three-day quota is completed.
  • From 13th to 19th, Darshanala tokens will be issued only at Srinivasam Complex, Vishnu Nivasam and Bhudevi Complex. Srivari Mettu counters will remain closed till 19th.
  • Earlier, tokens were issued only to locals at the center set up at Bairagipalle Ramanaidu School. Non-locals do not know much about the center of this area. This time on Wednesday, white people reached the school in front of thousands of people, as had been publicized earlier.
  • People were not allowed to enter the queues on Wednesday morning, so the police sent them all to the adjacent Padmavati Park. By evening, up to ten thousand people had gathered there.
  • Since the devotees were kept inside the park and the gates were closed, the entire inner courtyard was crowded. A woman’s health deteriorated around 7:30-8 pm on Wednesday evening.
  • Some devotees are already arguing with the police to send them out. In this sequence, the gate was opened to take out the sick woman. The police did not alert the devotees at that time. People inside the park did not know why the gates were being opened and thought they were being sent to queue for tokens.
  • There was a rush of people to queue up at the park gate. A walking track has been made in Padmavati Park. There is a difference of one and a half feet in height of the lawn below the track. The gate should go over the track. Some people fell down while climbing up the lawn and coming towards the gate. The crowd pushed them and moved ahead.
  • At that time the police could not control them. After a fierce stampede that lasted for about 15 minutes, the fallen people could be pulled out with great difficulty. Negligence in opening the gate became the reason for this accident.
  • 41 people were injured.

TTD EO Shyamala Rao said that 41 people have been injured in the Tirupati stampede and they are being treated at SWIMS and Ruya hospitals. He said that two of the injured were seriously injured and most of the injured would be discharged by the evening. Of the three injured, only two are in a position to continue treatment. The Superintendent of Ruya Hospital said that except those who lost their lives in the incident, there is no danger to other people. He told that till now 20 people have been discharged.

Demand to suspend JEO from SP

Former TTD chairman Bhumana demanded that Tirupati SP and TTD JE Venkanna Choudhary be suspended. They want to build a temple for Chandrababu and serve him. Bhumana alleged that they were all serving Chandrababu instead of performing their duty to protect the sentiments of the devotees at the Venkateswara temple, adding that the police, which has the responsibility of controlling law and order, had neglected their duties. Accused of causing devotees to lose their lives.

Pawananand Swami said… compensation worth crores should be given to the deceased.

Pavananand Swami, who returned from Tirupati wearing the rope of Veer Ras to protect Sanatan Dharma, wanted to say that the responsibility of protecting Sanatan Dharma is on you and according to your thinking Sanatan Dharma will be destroyed.

When two people died in the Game Changer event, YCP was accused of not improving the roads and where is Pawan now? He criticized that they talk cleverly in the name of conservatism and do not put it into practice. He said that Chandrababu had made a deal with Bhagavan, used him as a political resource and pawn and vilified Jagan and politicized that Tirumala was desecrated, and now Bhagavan himself has approved this malicious campaign. It is said that ghee has been adulterated in Tirumala laddus.

He said that no one has protected the sanctity of Tirumala temple as much as he has. Dammante wants to prepare for discussion with him.. He said that he is ready for open discussion on the allegations made by Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan, he wants to reduce the misleading words of Chandrababu and not use Venkateswara Swamy for politics. Want to take appropriate action.

Bhumana demanded that the EO responsible for the Tirupati incident be transferred, other officers be suspended, a compensation of Rs 1 crore be given to the families of the deceased and Rs 20 lakh be given to the injured. It is not appropriate to spend time with Paramarsh and he described what happened in Tirupati as government killings.
