Tirupati Stampede: Stampede incident… Suspension of two officers, transfer of many – Major decisions of CM Chandrababu
Chief Minister Chandrababu announced that an ex-gratia amount of Rs 25 lakh would be given to the families of those killed in the stampede. Chandrababu, who reached Tirupati on Thursday, inspected the area where the stampede took place. Ruya talked to the people undergoing treatment at Swims Hospital. After this he held a special meeting with TTD officials.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Babu spoke to the media after the meeting with TTD officials. Some decisions have been taken in the review of TTD. It was learned that what he has said will be discussed in the TTD board meeting and a decision will be taken.
Chandrababu said that some officials were negligent in this incident. It was made clear that DSP Ramankumar acted without responsibility. DSP Ramankumar and cow shelter director Harinath Reddy have been suspended. SP Subbarayudu said that JEO Gautami is being transferred. He said that orders have been given for a judicial inquiry into the stampede incident.
