The government has set up an online system to make Aadhaar and Ration Card linking process easier and provide it to all.

Can link Aadhaar with ration cards with these steps

step 1: Visit your state’s official public distribution system (PDS) website. To reach the relevant section for Aadhaar linking, you have to log in to use your credentials.

step 2: After logging in, select the option that connects your base with your ration card. Follow the instructions appearing on the screen, enter your Aadhaar number and details of the ration card number.

step 3: After entering the required information, your registered mobile number comes with OTP (once password). To verify your identity, enter OTP to complete the linking process. Aadhaar and ration card linkage comes on your phone, a confirmation message on your phone.

Aadhaar connection is mandatory

Family members have been registered on the ration card, they should add their Aadhaar to their ration card to prevent ration benefits. The government has also implemented a compulsory KYC verification along with Aadhaar Authority, mobile number and finger print verification.
