GBS cases in AP: Woman dies while receiving treatment with GBS disease, first death in AP
GBS cases in AP: Gulian-Bari Syndrome (GBS) case in AP, Prakasam district, Kamalamma of Kamalamma died on Sunday during treatment at Guntur Sarvajan Hospital. She has been receiving treatment on a ventilator for the past few days due to severe fever and legs. Guntur GGH Superintendent has confirmed Kamalamma’s death. GBS, a neurological disease, which rarely grows up to one in millions, is worried that recent growth in AP.
7 cases in the state
Guntur GGH received seven GBS cases on the 11th of this month. Prakasam, Eluru and Palanadu districts and four from three Guntur have been admitted to Guntur Government Hospital with three GBS disease. Two of them are being treated on a ventilator. Two were admitted to the hospital in Kakinada with symptoms. Currently, 17 people in the state are being treated with symptoms.
No infectious disease
The Medical Health Department suggests the public to be vigilant, even if there is no GBS infection. Doctors say that the disease is a kind of paralysis. Most other infections are found in the disease. If the disease is severe, the muscles will die. Medical experts say that the symptoms of the disease can be treated in a timely manner and it can be cured before it becomes dangerous. It is said that the disease spreads through contaminated water and food. He said that it would destroy immunity.
Symptoms of disease
This disease, especially for elders, is now a concern for children. Doctors say that these are muscle weakness, numbness, difficulty walking, and breathing. Health Minister Satyakumar said that he was worried about Gulian-Bari syndrome. He is constantly reviewing GBS cases. He said that he was motivated for vaccines on unnecessary concerns about GBS.
