Game Changer: Telangana government’s big blow to Game Changer – decision to increase ticket prices for special shows reversed

Game Changer: Due to the order of AP and Telangana High Court, the governments of Telugu states have given a game changer blow. Governments backed off from additional shows and rates. Recently, the Telangana government withdrew the order to increase the ticket prices of the movie Game Changer. It was said that the discount given in case of increase in ticket prices is being withdrawn. The game changer ticket prices and permission for additional shows have been withdrawn as per the order of the Telangana High Court. The government has made it clear that special shows are no longer allowed in the early hours of the morning in Telangana. The state government has said in the order that special shows of films will not be allowed in view of public health and safety.

‘Game Changer’ is a film starring mega power star Ram Charan produced by Dil Raju and directed by Shankar. The Telangana government has given permission to increase the ticket prices of this film made with a huge budget on the request of the film unit. The game changer allowed 6 shows from 4 am on the day of release (10 January). This allowed an increase in ticket prices by Rs 100 in single screens and Rs 150 in multiplexes on the day of the film’s release. For 5 shows from January 11 to 19, an increase of Rs 50 has been given in single screen and Rs 100 in multiplex. However, the High Court has recently announced that it is withdrawing the order on additional shows and increase in ticket rates.

AP government cancels permission for additional shows

The state government has revised the additional shows and increased ticket prices of the films Game Changer and Daku Maharaj following the order of the AP High Court. The AP government has made it clear that the order given on the film Game Changer is only related to ticket prices. The High Court was of the opinion that without proper security it would be difficult to control the people coming to theaters. To this extent, interim orders have been issued on additional shows. Permission for additional shows at 1 am and 4 am has been cancelled. It said that the film cannot be shown in more than 5 shows per day for 10 days. It has issued instructions that one in five shows per day can be organized as a benefit show. On the orders of the High Court, the state government has issued orders to the district collectors, police commissioners and SPs.
