Bordeaux Vs PSG: Neymar, Kylian Mbappe help Paris win 3-2

Bordeaux: Brazil strikers Neymar and Kylian Mbabane scored twice to give Paris Saint-Germain a 1-10 lead at 3-2.

PSG made a tense decision ahead of Bordeaux’s goal with 34 points from 13 games, with second-placed Lens beating Trois 4-0 at home on Friday. Bordeaux finished 16th with 12 points.

In the first half, Neymar scored two goals with a stunning assist from France World Cup winner Mbabane.

Neymar unbuttoned his jersey and took off his jersey when he posted a message on his shirt in tribute to Brazilian singer Marilia Mentonka, who was killed in a plane crash in the state of Minas Gerais on Friday.

As Neymar ran to the left and exchanged a one-two with Mbabane, the second goal was of high quality as he medically defeated the Brazilian with a chin-back heel in the lower corner.

Mbabane took a 3-0 lead in the 63rd minute when Bordeaux goalkeeper Benoit was caught in the net and rolled into an empty net.

As striker Albert Ellis blocked his marker, the hosts took the backseat and defeated visiting keeper Kyler Navas from close range, forcing PSG to hang on as Embay Niang was caught in the net at the stop.

Mbabane admitted that he did not see Lionel Messi costly PSG due to a knee injury, but denied criticism that they had failed to live up to expectations.

“Everyone has the right to comment. Some people think we are playing badly, but this time we are not playing well,” he said.

“We have to move on, we will work hard. Today we showed our quality because we had mantras that we played at a high level.

“We could have avoided the goals we gave up, but in the end we felt better. We try to improve every day and we hope to get better.”
