AB Venkateswara Rao: AP government order to regulate ABV suspension period

AB Venkateswara Rao: The AP government on Tuesday issued an order regulating the suspension period of retired IPS officer AB Venkateswara Rao. During the YCP government, suspension on ABV has been suspended. The government has issued orders to regulate the duties of the period.

The YCP government suspended ABV in the first DAFA from February 2 to February 7, 2020. In the second installment, the suspension vote was once again from 28 June to 30 May 2024.

The coalition government has issued regularization orders, stating that both installments are in duty. During that period, ABV was ordered to pay the amount of salary and allowances.

The suspension has been ordered to what extent the suspension is not. Recently, the state government has issued instructions to withdraw the allegations filed against AB Venkateswara Rao.

The AP government has recently issued orders to raise the allegations filed against retired IPS officer AB Venkateswara Rao. The ABV has served as the head of intelligence in the previous TDP government.

The YCP government has been accused with ABV for alleged irregularities in the purchase of aerostat and UAV security equipment. He was suspended twice as part of the case. It is revealed that he has filed a case in court.

The investigation by the Alliance government has revealed that there is no truth in the allegations against AB Venkateswara Rao. The CS of the government has recently issued orders. This benefited from his retirement.

What happened?

In December 2020, AB Venkateswara Rao was charged for allegedly making irregularities in the purchase of security equipment with the then YCP government. He wrote to the Union Home Ministry that two of these allegations were proved to take action against him.

The Union Home Ministry has issued orders to maintain ABV increments. Jagan Sarkar has written to the Center to remove ABV from service. However, no order was received from the Center.

AB Venkateswara Rao has resorted to the High Court, Supreme Court and Cat on these issues. A day before its retirement, the YCP government posted ABV’s posting as a printing stationery DG. He retired on the day of posting.

In the past, the coalition government came to power and inquired about the allegations against AB Venkateswara Rao. It was discovered that there was no evidence of the allegations and recently issued a judicial advice and stopped all its further functions. The latest suspended was ordered to pay salary for the period.
