Airtel, SpaceX Agreement: Bharti Airtel Agreement with Elan Musk SpaceX; Star Link in India

Airtel, SpaceX Agreement: Indian telecom giant Bharti Airtel Alan has signed an agreement with Bharti Airtel Alan’s Space X to launch Star Link Satellite Internet services in the country. According to the agreement, Space X and Bharti Airtel work together to provide Star Link Satellite to businesses, educational institutions, health care centers and remote areas -to provide united internet services. The agreement also looks at the ways of strengthening star launk technology in the current network infrastructure.

Government of India support

Despite the Star Link License application, the Government of India has expressed adaptation of space to allocate spectrum. The deal has come to light in view of talks on spectrum allocation for satellite internet services in India. Space X and Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Jio -based Reliance Jio has expressed disagreement about whether the spectrum should be allocated or auctioned. Reliance Jio supports the auction.

What is in the deal?

As part of an agreement between Space X and Airtel, Space X is hoping to use Airtel Ground Network and related infrastructure in support of its operation in India. Airtel Star Link is looking for ways to enhance its services using satellite connectivity.
