Purandeshwari ultimately got the post of President because BJP’s plan of social mobilization was not very effective.

General elections were held under the leadership of Purandeshwari. In the last elections, Purandeshwari’s efforts to merge BJP with TDP were to some extent. The names of Vijayawada West MLA Sujana Choudhary, Minister Satyakumar Yadav, Dr. Parthasaradhi and former MLC PVN Madhav as well as former CM Kiran Kumar Reddy are also in the race.
