AP New Ration Card: Online Portal for Issuance of New Ration Card – Another Update on Application Process..!

The coalition government in AP will work on issuing new ration cards. It has decided to provide ration cards to newly married couples and every eligible poor family. Along with redesigning the existing cards, work is also being done to issue ration cards to all new beneficiaries. But this process is likely to start in the last week of this month or the first week of February.

The government has a large number of cards pending for changes including new ration card applications. Their number is more than 3 lakh. But mainly… the government has realized that newly married couples in the state are facing difficulties in getting ration cards. It has been decided to give an opportunity to the family members to add and make changes in the details. But an online portal will be launched in this direction.

There are 1.48 crore ration cards in the state. Officials believe that if a new opportunity comes, it is likely to increase to two to three lakhs. And in place of the old ration cards… the coalition government is preparing to give them in a new format. These will be made from QR codes. Exercise in that direction has been completed… the process is likely to start by the end of this month. State Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar gave an important statement on this issue. The minister said, if not by the end of the month, it will start by the first week of February.

It is known that the format of ration cards was changed even during the YCP government. New rice cards have also been issued. The ration card had photographs of YS Jagan and Rajasekhara Reddy. But with the coalition party coming to power in the state…it was decided to change the design of ration cards. The Civil Supplies Department has sent the sample of ration card having the official logo of the government on the light yellow card for the government’s approval. But soon it will become clear what kind of changes will take place. It is known that it is mandatory to have QR code on the new ration card.

In fact, the coalition government had thought of starting the process of issuing new ration cards in December last year itself. But many programs kept getting postponed. But the process of issuing ration cards is likely to start in the first week of this month or next month.
