AP Skill Census: MoU between Infosys and Andhra Pradesh Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) in the presence of State Education and IT Minister Lokesh to provide a digital platform for pre-verification of candidate skills using Generative AI as part of the Skill Census. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Lokesh said that it is commendable that Infosys has come forward for skill census data prevalidation as part of corporate social responsibility. He said that through this, the existing skills of the youth in the state will be assessed and the way will be made easier to provide them skill development training as per the market demand.

He said that it is commendable that Infosys has come forward to be a partner in achieving the target of 20 lakh jobs for the youth in the state in the next five years. Infosys representatives Santosh, Tirumala, Skill Development Secretary Kona Shashidhar, senior skill development officials Ganesh Kumar, Dinesh Kumar and Raghu participated in the program.

  • Infosys connects candidates to curated learning pathways on the Infosys Springboard platform, conducts free online courses, workshops and skill assessments, provides technical support for continuous skill development in line with career aspirations.
  • The agreement will enable Infosys to track the progress and outcomes of skill assessments, ensuring transparent, data-driven outcomes.
  • Infosys provides pre-recognition and skills to 3.59 crore people in the age group of 15-59 years in the state.
  • This will facilitate integration of the digital platform into the skill census framework and skill application currently being undertaken by the AP government. The AP government is expected to get the necessary support for the implementation of assessment tools in educational institutions.
