AP Tourism: A huge tourism project in Amaravati with the help of Centre.. Rs 500 crore!

With the support of the central government, a huge tourism project worth Rs 500 crore is underway in Amaravati, said minister Kandula Durgesh. It is clear that State, Private and Public Partnership (P-4) is the way forward to develop state tourism. He said he was organizing a regional tourism investors’ meet at Novatel in Visakhapatnam on Monday.

The minister explained that those who are interested in taking up tourism projects can attend the meeting. He said the tourism summit has already been held in Vijayawada and received 200 proposals. Oberoi, Taj, Maphar and IRCTC have come forward to invest in several places in AP.

Minister Durgesh said that he would soon conduct the Maradumilli festival. In view of past incidents.. Papikondala Tourism is taking strict measures. Will be developed in AP, Adventure, Eco, Wellness, Temple, Heritage, Agri, Medical and Beach Tourism.

The minister said that cultural tourism will be developed. He said that the Central Government has sanctioned Rs 177 crore under the Saski scheme.. Akhand Godavari and Gandikota are being developed. Tenders will be called soon.

The minister said that several development projects will be taken up on Havelock Bridge, which is 2.7 km in Rajahmundry, with an investment of Rs 98 crore. Apart from making all the ghats boating..
