Auto Permit: Rights for Auto and Visakha in Viskha, Restrictions on Permit

Auto Permit: The state government has removed the auto control in Vijayawada and Visakha in AP. Already the number of autos in these cities is increasing, causing traffic problems. Auto is not allowed to enter the city without permits. There is no restriction on auto in the rest of urban and rural areas. Vijayawada, the area of roads, the number of vehicles and geographical boundaries for population are limited to the number of autos. However, they have more than double the number of currently allowed autos.

The order states that all current autos are running with BS -6 auto, CNG, LPG and battery as they are not overwhelmed by lack of pollution. Currently, 8700 autos in Vijayawada and 8,400 autos in Visakhapatnam are allowed.

After the partition of the state, 4,500 autos were allowed from Ibrahim Pattanam, Gannavaram, Penmalur, Kankipadu and Uyuru areas under the Vijayawada Commission in 2015. There are currently about 18,000 autos in Vijayawada.

Except for Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam, the new autos are registered in all parts of the state and are giving them permits. The government says that it is ending the restrictions that the newly upcoming BS -6, CNG, LPG and battery -powered autos are in favor of the environment.
