Babli Project Water: Babli water release for Telangana drinking water requirements, tonight water
Babli Project Water: Babli Gates was opened on Maharashtra Godavari on Saturday for the purposes of drinking water in Telangana. In the presence of the Central Water Resources Association Irrigation Team, 0.6 TMC water was dumped from the Babli project. Irrigation officials said that on the orders of the Supreme Court, 0.6 TMC water was released for the drinking water needs of the Telangana river basin. The Babbi project lifted 14 gates on the Godavari river in Nanded district of Maharashtra.
Release two points of water during the year
The last compromise between Maharashtra Telangana with the Central Water Resources Society is a pleasure to dump Godavari for drinking water in summer. The gates are closed after 0.6 TMC of drinking water quota. On 1 July, the gates will be re -lifted and the water of Godavari will be removed for 120 days. Will be closed on 29 October.
On Saturday, 14 gates were picked up in Baballi and Godavari water entered the state of Nirmal district and was swept away towards Shri Ram Sagar Project. Basara Tehsildar Pawan Chandra said that people and farmers of Telangana coastal valleys should be alert. Authorities also alerted the Basara Godavari river basin.
Supreme Court verdict
According to the Supreme Court’s decision in 2013, Babli Gates will be removed from 1 July to 28 October every year. The bandh will be closed from 29 October to 30 June. On 1 March, 0.6 TMC will be dropped for drinking water purposes. The Central Water Festival Association officials will monitor the release of water as per the agreement of two states.
Monitoring of Trishabhya Committee in Baballi
The water of Godavari in Babi was released under the auspices of the Trishbhaya Committee.
When the water was released downwards, Godavari flooded Parvs. Officials said that the water was reaching Essarespe by night. The full water level of the project is 1091 feet and 80.515 TMC, while the Essarespi reservoir on Saturday has a team of water storage of 1075.00 feet and 32.897 TMCC water storage.
