Bandi Sanjay: Aarogyasri, fee reimbursement dues should be paid: Bandi Sanjay’s open letter to CM Revanth Reddy

Bandi Sanjay: On one hand, the government which has announced that the ‘Arogyashree’ limit is being increased to Rs 10 lakh and is expanding health services, is not paying the actual bills and people are not getting the services of Arogyashree. Is also not providing. People. They have written a three-page open letter to the CM warning that Aarogyasri and fee reimbursement dues should be paid immediately, otherwise students will mobilize along with the poor under the leadership of BJP state president G Kishan Reddy.

Summary of Sanjay’s letter…

The policy and careless attitude adopted by the state government in the field of education and medicine is causing serious concern for crores of people of Telangana. Especially the Arogya Shree and Fee Reimbursement Scheme, which has ensured health and higher education of poor families in the state, is completely failing due to the negligence of the state government.

It is sad that you are not paying attention to the crores of poor, government employees and journalists across the state in the wake of the announcement issued by Telangana Arogyasri Network Hospitals that ‘Arogyasri’ services in private hospitals will be discontinued. State from 10th of this month due to non-payment of dues of Aarogyasri for months.

BRS today…Congress today…

Even the BRS rulers who ruled for almost ten years since the formation of Telangana state had no record of properly implementing the Arogya Shree scheme. The Aarogyasri scheme has been weakened by denying treatment to the poor in private hospitals for non-payment of dues. On the one hand, the Congress government, which has announced that it is increasing the ‘Arogyashree’ limit to Rs 10 lakh and expanding health services, has criticized the Arogyashree network hospitals for not paying the actual bills.

He questioned how fair it was to deny the poor access to private healthcare. If Congress comes to power, they had promised to pay the dues of Aarogyasri regularly and expand the services of Aarogyasri, and they are trampling on the promises made after coming to power. Network hospitals say Aarogyasri owes Rs 1,000 crore during your one-year rule.

Owners of private hospitals complain that they are not able to pay salaries, maintenance charges and government taxes to staff as bills are not paid for months, while the operations are carried out at less than half the price prescribed under Arogyasri. Let’s go. Private hospital. Aarogyasri refused to provide service. The result of your helplessness and carelessness is that many patients in the state are dying due to not getting timely treatment and operation.

Fee reimbursement of seven thousand crore rupees is outstanding…

About 13 lakh students studying courses like intermediate degree, engineering, pharma, nursing etc. in the state are pursuing their studies on the basis of fee reimbursement. But due to the fact that neither the previous BRS rulers nor the present Congress government has released fee reimbursement funds, the dues have accumulated to more than Rs 7000 crore.

Delay in payment of bills has put a burden on the management of colleges and hundreds of colleges across the state are set to be closed. If their colleges are to run, students will have to bear the burden of fee reimbursement, otherwise they will not issue certificates. Due to this lakhs of students are struggling because they cannot pay the fees.

It is ironical that the government does not pay attention to the fact that some people are not able to go for higher education and some people are suffering from serious mental agony due to college owners not giving certificates. It is a matter of shame that even though tokens were issued in November last year that approximately Rs 380 crore in pending duty reimbursement bills would be paid, even today payments related to these have not been made.

The news is surprising that the State Government intends to pay the accumulated duty reimbursement dues through one-time settlement method. Are they bank loans? For lump sum settlement as the dues increase along with interest? Apart from not paying the dues on time… it is also wicked to say that there will be cuts in it.

If the government does not respond, there will be serious consequences.

It is the minimum responsibility of the government to provide proper education and medical services to the people. But looking at the way he is working as Chief Minister, it is clear that he is completely ignoring those responsibilities. The value of fee reimbursement, Aarogyasri dues is less than Rs 8 thousand crore. If you have made a budget of Rs 2 lakh 75 thousand crores, can’t you pay Rs 8 thousand crores out of it and support lakhs of patients and students? It is a matter of regret that you are spending thousands of crores of rupees in the name of foreign tours, Delhi Tour, Museum Revival, Fourth City, but you do not have the heart to give Rs 8 thousand crores.

We demand an immediate meeting with representatives of Aarogyasri network hospitals and owners of private colleges and release of fee reimbursement dues. Otherwise, BJP state president G. Kishan Reddy has warned that they are ready for a massive agitation with students and the poor, and the state government will be responsible for the upcoming developments.
