BJP on steel plant: Union Minister Srinivas Verma says Visakha Steel Plant will not be handed over to SAIL

BJP on steelplant: Union Minister Bhupathiraju Srinivas Varma announced in Bhimavaram in West Godavari district that he is committed to the welfare of steel plant workers and will not sell the steel plant. The Union Minister reacted to the ongoing campaigns after the announcement of central financial assistance to the steel plant. The minister said that his resolve is to save the steel plant.

The Center has given a big package for the renovation of Visakha Steel Plant, which is facing severe financial losses and if a financial package of Rs 11,440 crore is announced, of which Rs 10,300 crore will be under capital shares, . He said that Rs 1140 crore has been allocated for working capital.

He said that the central package was announced to protect the sentiments of Andhra people by taking the Visakha Steel Plant out of privatization. It is being told that this is the biggest package given to save the industry in the history of AP. He said that as a citizen of Andhra, he is proud to get the opportunity to put pressure on the Union Ministers.

He said that Modi’s aim is to increase steel production in the country and if the steel plant is not run efficiently even after giving the package, it will be considered a failure of the central management and will be invested in development. At present only Rs 230 crore is outstanding for the salaries of November and December, he said, adding that the outstanding salaries of the steel plant employees will be paid soon.

The minister expressed displeasure that even after announcing privatization they backtracked and even if a bigger package was announced they would be making malicious allegations. He expressed anger that the steel plant which has a debt of Rs 30 thousand crores, should be given a total package of Rs 13 thousand 90 crores.

He said that the previous government made unnecessary investments in Rae Bareli and caused loss of Rs 2100 crore to the steel plant. Union Steel Minister Kumaraswamy has announced that in future another big package will be given to Visakha Steel Plant. He visited the steel plant with Steel Sankalp and stayed for a night and talked to all the employees and workers.

He made it clear that the Central Government cannot say everything openly and Vizag Steel Plant will not be privatized. He said, “There will be no merger of steel plants in SAIL, I am saying this as the Steel Minister.” He said that SAIL had objected to the merger of the loss making company and SAIL brought them out of the losses. There was talk of handing over the management.

The minister said that the steel plant will be brought from the path of loss to profit by bringing raw material by the end of this month, starting production and increasing the full capacity by the end of August.

Congress leader Sharmila is not clear about what she is talking about, there are allegations that Visakha Steel is making losses without its mines, and there were days when Vizag Steel was making profits even without its mines. Was. Even though plants like Jindal and JSW do not have their own mines in the country, they are making profits. It is not true that there will be losses if you have your own mines.
