Breakout Review: Breakout Review – How about a survival thriller starring Brahmanandam’s son?
Breakout Review: Tollywood’s top comedian Brahmanandam Thanayudu Raja Gautham starrer Breakout movie was recently released on ETV Win OTT. Subbu Cherukuri has directed the film which is a single-character survival thriller. How is this experimental film?
Due to the problem of monophobia…
Mani (Raja Gautam) is trying to become a film director. The father, who works as a teacher as opposed to the mother, encourages Mani’s dream. Mani has monophobia. Afraid of being alone anywhere other than home. He is undergoing treatment for monophobia. Mani’s roommate Arjun (Kiriti Damaraju) goes to Bengaluru for urgent work.
Having lost the key given to the watchman, Mani has to go to the shed of an acquaintance, Raju (Chitra Srinu), a mechanic. The king’s barn is far away from the village. Mani gets trapped alone in the shed due to the shutters being accidentally closed. There is no signal on the phone and due to rain the electricity goes out and Mani gets scared.
A gun and a Deadboy gem are found in the shed in order to escape? Where is that gun? Who is the real king? What trouble did Mani face in the shed due to monophobia? What did he do to escape from that shed? Did Mani make it out alive? Or? This is the story of the film Break Out.
Unlike commercial formulas…
Cinema means hero-heroine…or villain…romantic jugalbandhi and fights. This formula appears across all industries, regardless of linguistic differences. There are very few films that deviate from this commercial format. Breakout is one such experiment
Raja Gautam…
Brahmanandam’s younger brother Raja Gautham played the hero in the breakout film based on the same character. This is his attempt to prove himself as an actor. At the beginning of the film, four-five characters come and go. After this, Raja Gautam will be seen alone in the film till the climax scene. The entire film takes place in one place, in one room.
If stuck in a shed…
What did that young man, locked alone in the shed, do to escape from there? Director Subbu has written this story with a simple point that what kind of struggle they faced in this sequence, he added the problem of monophobia at this point and tried to spread the thrill in the audience till the end with this film. .
I remember the logic…
The way the movie starts… the break out goes smoothly until the hero’s problem is explained. Whenever the hero gets locked in the shed, it seems as if the director has lost his grip on the story. The hero’s efforts to escape from the shed defy logic. The director wanted to create interest in that shade with small twists like the deadbody and the revolver. He could not make that point as an aggravating factor.
There are not many scenes in the film where the audience waits with curiosity to see how the hero will turn out. The ending of the climax is also confusing. The length of the film is only one hour and seven minutes…but it seems longer.
one man Army…
Raja Gautam was like a one man army for the film Break Out. He showed different emotions in the character of Mani. Impressed with the mature acting. The film featured Srinu, Kiriti Damaraju and Anand Chakrapani in guest roles.
Survival thriller film…
Break Out movie will appeal to audiences who like survival thriller films and experimental films. This film is a good option for such people this week.
