Budget 2025: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitarman has presented Union Budget for the financial year. Here is the details of prices that fall with this budget, or prices rise. This is the second full budget for the Modi 3.0 government, which came to power at the Center in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. This year’s budget focuses on agriculture, manufacturing, employment, MSME, rural development and innovations. Nirmala Sitarman said in her budget speech that this budget contributes to transformational reforms.

• 36 exceptions for drugs that save life from basic custom duties.
• The Center has proposed to completely exclude leadership from lead, zinc and another 12 minerals from basic customs duty.
• The basic customs duty on the raw materials required for vessels is excluded for another ten years.
• Basic custom duty on marine products has been reduced by 35 percent.
