Domestic stock markets suffered huge losses in Monday’s trading session. BSE Sensex fell 1049 points to close at 76,330. At the end of the session, Nifty 50 fell 346 points and closed at 23,086. Bank Nifty fell 693 points to 48,041.
“Nifty50.. has fallen below November 2024 low of 23,263.15. A significant increase was observed in the volatility index. The next important support lies at 22,700 levels,” said Ajit Mishra, SVP, Research, Religare Broking Ltd.
FII..DII..
In Monday’s trading session, FIIs traded at Rs. Shares worth Rs 4892.84 crore were sold. Whereas DII Rs. Shares worth Rs 8066.07 crore were purchased.
FIIs have been selling heavily in the Indian stock markets for the last few days due to the fall of the rupee, rise in bond yields in the US and uncertainty over Fed’s interest rate cut. That is why the indices are falling.
The domestic stock markets are likely to start the trading session with huge gains on Tuesday. The reason for this is that Gift Nifty is up by about 120 points.
American stock market
American stock markets ended the trading session at a flat level on Friday. The Dow Jones rose 0.8 percent. The S&P 500 gained 0.16 percent. Tech index Nasdaq fell 0.38 percent.
Asian stock markets remained flat in Tuesday’s trading session.
