CPM on the budget: CPI (M) State Secretariat members Chukka Ramu criticized the budget of 2025-26, which was introduced by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitarman. No money for employment guarantee
The cost of the Employment Guarantee Act is Rs 89,154 crore in 2023-24 and only Rs 86,000 crore has been allocated in the current budget. He said that the budget and subplain for Dalits and tribals were not useful for the development of those communities. He said that the funds allocated to these communities would be developed by the nodal officer and some of those communities would be provided to provide housing, road, drinking water, education and medical facilities. Dalits have to be allocated 16 percent and only five percent have been criticized. Seven percent of the money has been allocated to tribals instead of two percent.
Endless for education and medical fields
He said that there are very few allocation for three percent education and medical fields. He demanded the central government to increase budgetary allocation for the production of industrial sector.
