A year ago ..

The development work of selected railway stations was done a year ago. As part of it, Governor Abdul Nazir began modernization of Eluru station. The Center has released Rs 21 crore for modernization of Eluru railway station. With these funds, the first installment of convenience at the station is being implemented in design and height. The platforms are being modernized.

In the second phase, the escalator will be installed. The parcel office is currently being removed inside the station. It will be converted to the nearest vacant space of the station. Work is also being done to use a decorative platform. Initially work was not done. But .. recently with the initiative of the owners.

Vijayawada DRM and other dignitaries recently inspected the station. The quality of the works was examined. The contractor is advised to speed up the first phase. MP Mahesh Yadav also visited the station and investigated the work of modernization. He promised to do development work to provide better services to passengers.

8,000 people regularly ..

Around 8,000 passengers travel from Eluru railway station. After the station level under Vijayawada Division .. NSG has allotted third grade. The first are Vijayawada and King Mahendravaram station. Officials say that if the work is currently done, the passengers will be comfortable.
