Muhammad Azmat Pasha of Madannapet, Kamalapur mandal, Hanamkonda district came to Vemulawada Rajanna temple with four priests. They were returning in the same auto and two people stopped them near Asif Nagar.

He said he was a policeman and asked to show the RC and other documents related to the auto. When auto driver Azmat Pasha showed them the smart copy in the mobile phone, the suspect Azmat asked them for their identity cards and threatened to impose fine if they did not have the hard copy and fled from the spot. At the same time, Azmat Pasha noticed that other vehicles passing by were stopped and money was collected and a complaint was lodged at the Kothapalli police station.

Police immediately reached the spot and arrested both of them and registered a case under section 308(3), 319(2), 204 of BNS-2023. Both the accused were produced in the court and taken on remand. Impersonating a policeman and eventually getting caught by the police has become a sensation.
