Formula This race case: Telangana ACB BRS leader KTR

BRS Executive Chairman KT Ram Rao (KTR) participated in an investigation by the anti -correspondence department (ACB) of the Opposition of Telangana government as part of the race case.

Speaking to the media at the BRS headquarters before going to the ACB office, KTR described the investigation as “political harassment”. He alleged that the Congress government was trying to divert public attention as it was “unsuccessful” to fulfill the promises of the election.

“Maybe, they can be arrested. But, one thing is guaranteed. We have gone to jail in the past for the achievement of Telangana state. We are ready to go to jail again on the decision taken to promote the image of Hyderabad brand. He also stressed that the truth would eventually win.

KTR, who was the Municipal Minister in the last BRS government, faced the ACB investigation in the race case in January this year. While the final BRS government was in power, in February 2023, the ACB registered a case against him, after alleging that the source had made illegal payments on the race management in Hyderabad and most of them were in foreign currency.

Although the race was scheduled for February 2024, it was canceled after the Congress government came to power in December 2023. BRS leader KTR says the race and its payments are part of the BRS government’s efforts to increase the Hyderabad brand image.
