Former minister and BRS chief Harish Rao participated in the Justice PC Ghosh Commission on Kaleshwaram project. Harish Rao presented all the 20 main questions and affiliated questions asked by the Chairman of the Commission in about an hour. The chairman of the commission has expressed satisfaction with the explanation of Harish Rao.

Major points in the test, Harish Rao’s clarification:

1. Changes from Tamidihtat to Madigadda on the barrage:

The first important question has been discussed by the Commission for a long time as to why the barrage was converted from Tamidihatti to Madigadda. Harish Rao gave a wide explanation on this.

“After the formation of Telangana, we have made all efforts to create a project in Tammidihti. The final Congress government has called the Pranayam project in 7 packages and 27 parts and dug a tail work without starting its head,” Harish Rao told the Commission.

“I have joined the Maharashtra Congress Irrigation Minister Hassan Musraf Gary and sought permission to build a project in Thummidiht. Harish Rao said that the commission had already explained.

Harish Rao said that there were five meetings between Maharashtra and Telangana regarding the construction of the project in Tamidihti. Even after the BJP government came to the BJP government in Maharashtra, the then Irrigation Minister said that KCR had asked for the construction of the project in Tamidihti and Telangana. Harish Rao himself came to Maharashtra and met BJP Chief Minister Fadnavis in the presence of the then Governor Vidyasagar.

“The Congress government, which has not been in power for seven years, has not obtained a single permission. There is not a single interstate agreement. A sock land has not been collected. Komatidid and Uttam Kumar Reddy, who are ministers of the Telangana region, did not care,” said Harish Rao.

2. Central Water Commission Instructions:

Harish Rao showed that the Central Water Commission (CWC) was not the availability of water in Tammidihati and wrote to the Commission to take care of the construction of the project. Similarly, the capacity of the proposed reservoirs in the CWC Tamidihtti project is inadequate and a letter has been written to increase the reservoirs according to the capacity.

Meanwhile, the central government agency said that KCR had asked for the selection of the barrage construction site, and that Vepkos Ladder conducted a survey and examined the availability of water in Medigada and the project could be built there. He made it clear that the project was built in Medigada on the instructions of Vapkos, Central Water Commission and engineers.

He recalled that Chapral had a wildlife in Maharashtra where it was affected and would have to fight in the Supreme Court for at least 10 years to get permission. Harish Rao said, “If the Congress is proposing a project, where there is no water, the BRS government has proposed a project wherever there is water,” Harish Rao said. 3. On the permission of Kaleshwaram Corporation:

Harish Rao said that Kaleshwaram Nigam was presented to the Commission with all the evidence.

4. On the transformation of the barrage of Annam and Sundalla:

Harish Rao said that the change of the location of Annam and Sunderla Barrage was a complete technical decision and the place of the barrage was based on a comprehensive survey of engineers. He said that this was a decision taken by the engineering department and many projects in the country were being constructed and the evidence was presented to the Commission.

5. On the capacity of reservoirs on the project:

Harish Rao said that the reservoirs were built with the capacity of 141 TMC in the project.

Mortance on Kaleshwar: Harish Rao clarification

Harish Rao criticized Kaleshwar for saying “insanity and Kuleshwaram”. He said that Kaleshwar has 100 parts and he is not intact.

Chief Minister Gandhi has laid the foundation stone for the project and water is from Mallanasagar for the project. Mallansagar insisted that Kaleshwaram is an integral part of the project. He said Hyderabad Musi beautification would be transferred from Mallanasagar and Hyderabad would be given drinking water from Mallanasagar and was it part of Kaleshwaram. Harish Rao said, “Gandhamalla, who rely on Mallanasagar, is called a tender and is laid the foundation stone.

“Kaleshwaram is always the life of Telangana. It makes sense to the people of Telangana,” he said. Harish Rao made it clear that he had not said any word before the commission and presented the cabinet decisions, VAPCOS reports and CWC letters.
