Kaushik Reddy Arrest: BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy arrested in Jagityala MLA incident
Kaushik Reddy Arrest: Huzurabad MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy has been arrested by the police. Police arrested him from Hyderabad after the incident that took place in Karimnagar district Samiksha on Sunday. 4 cases have been registered against BRS MLAs in Karimnagar that they tried to attack Jagityala MLA Sanjay in Karimnagar Collectorate. He was detained in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad on Monday night. Four cases were registered against Kaushik Reddy at Karimnagar Forest Town police station on Sunday and Monday.
During the review of Karimnagar district, there was a heated argument between Kaushik Reddy and Jagitiyala MLA Sanjay. They pushed each other. Congress leaders allege that Kaushik Reddy had deliberately tried to attack Sanjay in the meeting. After the police received a complaint about these incidents, a case was registered against Kaushik Reddy at Karimnagar Okato Town Police Station.
On Monday evening, Karimnagar police came to Hyderabad and arrested Kaushik Reddy and took him away. Sanjay’s PA Vinod complained that Kaushik Reddy attacked MLA Sanjay in the meeting held on Sunday. Karimnagar District Library Association President Sathu Mallesh made another complaint that when he went to the meeting, Kaushik Reddy behaved inappropriately and insulted him in front of everyone.
Karimnagar RDO complained to the police that Kaushik Reddy’s behavior disrupted the meeting organized by district in-charge minister Uttam Kumar Reddy. The Superintendent of Police informed Assembly Speaker Prasad Kumar about the arrest of Kaushik Reddy. Since Kaushik Reddy was in Hyderabad, two town CIs Srijan Reddy and more than 30 task force policemen led by Karimnagar town ACP Venkataswamy came to Hyderabad on Monday afternoon.
Kaushik Reddy, who had come to Jubilee Hills to participate in a debate on a TV channel, was detained at around 7 pm. On this occasion, Kaushik Reddy had an argument with him. Later the police arrested him and at 10.35 pm he was taken by car to Karimnagar. He was transferred to the Police Training Center (PTC). After midnight he was transferred to Three Towns PS. Along with the arrest of the MLA, the police have made heavy security arrangements to prevent any untoward incident.
On the other hand, MLA Sanjay recorded his statement on the cases registered by Karimnagar police on Sunday’s incident. Medical tests were conducted at Karimnagar General Hospital. After this, MLA Sanjay complained about this to the Assembly Speaker.
BRS rank concern
As soon as the news of the MLA’s arrest was heard, a large number of BRS rank people reached the police station and started protesting. Hydrama continued till midnight in Karimnagar. The protesting BRS rank people were taken into custody by the police.
