KTM released Duke 125 in India in 2018. A few years later RC125 was released. At that time, the two -wonler giants believed that India had a market for premium and sporty 125cc motorcycles. In fact, the company was able to sell a good number of bikes. However, a large number of direct opponents such as Yamaha R15 and MT5 have been sold.

KTM has tried to bring Duke 125 and RC125 bikes to the Indian market through some model year updates. However, this strategy did not work for the brand. Instead, the bike manufacturer continues to prioritize the 390 series model. It is popular due to a large engine, more power-pack performance than the 125cc model. Indian consumers have also played an important role in large and premium bikes in the popularity of 125 series models.

Keeping all these in mind, the company was initially told that the company had admitted that it was meaningless to invest and upgrade the 125cc series of motorcycles. But the company clarified that this news was not true.

If the company actually closes the KTM Duke 125 and RC125 from April 1, the availability of these bikes may be at dealership for some time!
