Due to this the demand for coconut from Godavari districts has increased. As a result, prices reached record highs. Kuridi coconut found in the United Godavari districts is exported to the northern states. Although it is exported every year, but this year due to the Maha Kumbh Mela, the export of coconut is increasing rapidly.

Exports of Kuridi coconuts from the Godavari districts have increased as production has declined in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, which produce much of the Kuridi coconuts. Kuridi coconuts worth Rs 8 lakh are being exported every day in more than 20 trucks. Market experts say that due to the addition of Kumbh Mela to the general exports, exports are increasing, due to which the price of desiccated coconut has increased.

Farmers and traders were happy after getting good price of coconut in the market. After eight years, the price of Kuridi coconut has reached Rs 20 thousand and farmers are feeling good results. Kuridi coconut prices have increased in Godavari districts due to increase in demand during the Maha Kumbh Mela and reduction in production from Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Farmers believe that coconuts taken from the state to the Maha Kumbh Mela bring money and reach the feet of the Lord. Farmers say that coconut will be supplied from Godavari districts in Godavari Pushkar to be held in 2027.
