Mahakumbh Mela 2025: Tirumanjanam, Chakrasnanam to bathe Lord Shri in Mahakumbh Mela
TTD organized a grand Snapna Tirumanjanam program at Dashashwamedh Ghat in Prayagraj on Thursday in the Maha Kumbh Mela, the world’s largest religious event.
The ritual was completed by a team of priests led by Sri Venugopal Dikshitulu, the chief priest of Tirumala Srivari Temple. Along with Sridevi and Bhudevi, Sri Srinivasa Swamy’s Snapana Thirumanjana program was held as a feast for the eyes on the banks of the holy Ganga. Snapana Thirumanjanam presented with milk, curd, honey, coconut water, turmeric and spices like sandalwood sent the local devotees into devotional bliss.
On this occasion, Vedic scholars recited Panch Suktam, Shri Suktam, Bhusuktam, Neel Suktam, Purush Suktam, Narayan Suktam etc. After the consecration, the idols are decorated with Tulsi garlands. The consecration program was completed with Sahasradharapatra using scientific method.
After this, Shri Chakratalwar was taken to the river Ganga amidst playing of musical instruments and chanting of Vedic mantras. There special worship and aarti of Shri Chakratalwar was performed and Chakrasana Mahotsav was organized.
Resumption of good morning service in Tirumala:
After the holy month of Dhanurmas ended on Tuesday, the Good Morning Services at Tirumala Srivari Temple resumed on Wednesday morning. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has issued a statement to this effect.
Goda Thiruppavai Parayanam is continuing from December 17 in place of Suprabhatam at the Srivari temple as the Dhanurmas clocks had started from the morning of December 16 last year. But on January 14, the hours of Dhanurmas ended. With this, good morning service started again as usual in Srivari temple from 15th January.
Goda Kalyanam as a feast for the eyes:
Goda Kalyanam was organized as a festival of eyes on Wednesday night in the grounds of TTD Administration Building complex. Firstly, the Utsavamurthys of Sri Krishnaswami and Sri Andal Amma were specially decorated and Archakaswamas performed puja on the Kalyana Mancha. The Kuchipudi dance performed by the students of SV Sangeet Nritya College was entertaining throughout.
The artists of Annamacharya Project sang the hymns of Annamacharya in a melodious voice. After that, the priests of Tirumala Srivari Temple performed Sri Vishvaksena Puja, Punyahavachanam, Ankurarpanam and Rakshabandhanam Agnipratistha.
Government resolution, devotee resolution, Madhupark invitation and clothes offering programs were conducted in a scientific manner. After that Mahasankalp, Swami, Ammavarla Pravaralu, Mangalya Puja, Mangalya Dharana programs were organised. After that Pradhan Hom, Laja Hom and Purnahuti programs were performed. Varanmairam, Mala Parivartanam, Akshatropanam were performed and finally prayers and Mangal Aarti were performed. Goda Kalyanam program ended with chanting of Govinda name.
