JSW MG Motor India is on good footing! Along with electric vehicles, it is also launching ICE engine models and increasing competition in the market. Under this, the company has unveiled a new SUV named Magister at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 being held in Delhi. It is the facelifted version of MG Gloster which is already on sale in the Indian market. Interestingly, Gloster sales will also continue! It sits above the Gloucester in the MG Magister line-up. And this MG Magister will give a tough competition to the Toyota Fortuner Legend which is already the best selling car in the market.

What are the key design features of MG Magister?

The company has based the MG Magister on the Maxus D90 SUV which is on sale in some global markets. The company claims that this model is the longest and widest in the segment. It has a large front grill at the front. It has been given glass black finish. It has a split-head lamp design. Up here is the LED daytime running lamp. The main headlamp cluster is coming vertically into the bumper.

MG Magister comes with 12.3 inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, fully digital instrument console, 3 zone climate control, wireless mobile charging setup along with many other features.

As far as safety is concerned, this huge SUV has Level 2 ADAS, 6 airbags, hill hold control, electronic stability program, hill descent control, driver fatigue warning, traction control, roll movement intervention, electric parking brake with auto hold. There are also features like 360 ​​degree view camera.

In terms of mechanics, the MG Magster will have no changes compared to the Gloster. It has a 2 liter, twin turbo diesel engine. It generates power of 213 bhp and torque of 478 Nm. An 8-speed automobile transition set-up is standard. This is a 4×4 vehicle.

When will this MG Magester be launched? There is no clarity on this yet. But its starting price is Rs 1,000. There is news that it could be around 40 lakhs. The high end model is priced at Rs. It can go up to Rs 45 lakh. Both ex-showroom prices!
