Mohan Babu: Relief to actor Mohan Babu… Supreme Court orders not to take strict action.

Mohan Babu: Film actor Mohan Babu has got relief from the Supreme Court in the case of attack on journalist. The Supreme Court has directed the police not to take any strict action till further investigation in the journalist attack case. Mohan Babu approached the state high court for anticipatory bail in the case of attack on a journalist at his residence in Jalapalli on December 10 last year.

The High Court rejected the petition on 23 December. It is clarified that anticipatory bail cannot be granted as the allegations in the case registered by the police are serious. Challenging this order, Mohan Babu approached the Supreme Court on 24 December. The petition was heard on Thursday by a two-judge bench of Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia and Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra. On this occasion, senior lawyer Mukul Rohatgi, while listening to the arguments on behalf of Mohan Babu, told the court under what circumstances the journalist was attacked.

He said that Mohana Babu had a son and he had a dispute with him and his son entered his house with 20-30 people. Mohanbabu snatched the microphone from the journalist and threw it away. However, it was brought to the notice of the court that he was also ready to publicly apologize for the incident. It is requested that if necessary, they are also ready to give compensation to the victim journalist. Rohatgi told the court that Mohana Babu had also gone to meet the journalist who was already undergoing treatment in the hospital.

The lawyer on behalf of the journalist kept arguing that Mohan Babu’s jaw was broken due to the attack. Although Mohana Babu is 76 years old, he told the court that he attacked the 35-year-old journalist. He said the journalist had to spend five days in hospital and had to undergo surgery on his jaw. He said that he was fed food through a pipe. The journalist’s lawyer said that Mohana Babu had gone to the hospital with his family members to request withdrawal of the complaint.

Mukul Rohatgi intervened and told the court that Mohan Babu did not threaten the journalist. He said that this matter is not so serious that Mohan Babu should be kept in jail. However, a case of attempt to murder has also been registered. He said that 20-30 people came to Mohan Babu’s house and it comes under encroachment. He said that Mohan Babu is a famous actor and he does not want to kill or hurt anyone.

Responding to these arguments, Justice Dhulia said, “Does anyone attack as soon as he enters the house?” Mohan Babu’s lawyer asked Mukul Rohitagi. But the bench heard arguments from both sides… Does the victim, who is the defendant, want compensation? wanted to say. Mukul Rohatgi told the court that he will talk to the journalist’s lawyer and will do whatever he wants. The police were ordered not to take any punitive action against Mohan Babu until further investigation. It has also issued notice to the state government and the journalist, who are respondents in the case, to file their reply within three weeks. Next hearing adjourned till 13th of next month.
