New Fastag Rules: Toll payments through Fastag are going to change from 17 February. The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) will implement new certification rules for transactions at toll plaza from February 17, 2025. Major changes in fastag verification
According to the latest NPCI circular issued on January 28, 2025, Fastog transactions are now verified based on scanning time and account status. In addition, there are two time -based conditions.
- 60 minute rule: If the fastest is on the blacklist for more than 60 minutes before scanning, the transaction will be rejected.
- 10 minute section: If the fastog is placed on the blacklist within 10 minutes of scanning, toll fees can be processed. But in addition, punishment can be imposed.
As per NPCI rules
If a Fastog account does not correspond to the NPCI guidelines, the transaction with error code 176 will be rejected. This means that if the fastog is active beyond the allowed limit, the toll payment will not be processed.
