Assistant Director of Disabled, Elderly and Hijra Welfare Department of Prakasam district G. Archana said that laptops, smart phones, tricycles, wheelchairs, crutches and hearing aids will be provided to the disabled students free of cost. He asked him to take advantage of this opportunity. Candidates who have applied are advised to attach relevant verification documents with the application.

Who is eligible..

Laptops will be given to students pursuing degree, higher education and technical courses. Students passing intermediate of Badira will be given smart phones. The rest will be given three-wheeler cycles, wheelchairs, canes, dice players, folding walking sticks, crutches for the elderly, callipers and hearing aids. To get these you will have to apply.. You can apply by going to the District Disability Office.

Those who want to buy a laptop will have to study degree or above. Also those who are studying technical courses are eligible. They will have to submit degree, then studies, technical course certificate and 10th class certificate. Disabled (Sadaram) certificate will also have to be submitted. To apply, Aadhar Card, Caste Verification Certificate issued by Tehsildar, Income Verification Document, Ration Card Xerox, Current College Verification Document, Two Passport Size Photographs are required.

Students of Badira who have passed Intermediate will be given smart phones. For other devices..

To get three wheeler cycle, wheel chair, cane, dice player, folding walking stick, callipers, hand crutches for old age.. some verification documents are required. Disabled (Sadaram) Certificate, Aadhar Card, Caste Certificate issued by Tehsildar, Income Certificate, Ration Card Xerox, two passport size photographs.

For hearing aids.

If the ears cannot hear properly then hearing aids are given. To obtain these, one must have Divyang (Sadaram) verification document, Aadhaar card, caste verification document issued by Tehsildar, income verification document, ration card xerox, audiogram verification document, civil surgeon verification document, two passport size photographs.
