- Ramchandra Nayak was born in Bommakal Thanda in Periavangra Mandal near Thorur in Mahabubabad district.
- He is currently representing an MLA from the Dournecal Legislative Assembly constituency.
- He completed medical education from Osmania Medical College. He has also done MS .. He is providing medical services.
- In 2006, Ramchandra Nayak entered politics through the Telugu Desam Party.
- In 2006, he served as the Vice President of TDP affiliated medical department.
- In 2014, he contested as a TDP candidate from the Dournecle constituency. He again joined the Congress.
- In the 2018 assembly elections, he contested as a Congress candidate of Dornaccal constituency.
- He once again contested as a Congress candidate in the 2023 assembly elections. Former minister and BRS candidate Radia Nayak won by a large majority of 53,131 votes.
- On December 15, 2023, the Telangana government appointed him as a whip.
