Republic Day: Andhra Pradesh’s Atikoppaka Doll Shaktim (eco-friendly wooden toy theme) has been selected for display in the Republic Day parade. The authorities have designed this shakat to reflect the traditions of the Telugu people. The form of Sri Venkateswara Swamy situated in it is going to impress everyone. In this, pictures related to the idol of Ganesh ji, Haridas, puppets and children’s games have been given place.
These dolls are famous in the village called Atikoppaka, situated on the banks of river Varhana near Anakapalle. On August 30, 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a special mention of these Atikoppaka dolls while calling on people to encourage indigenously made toys. It is noteworthy that there is no curved angle anywhere in these figures made of wood. Let us promote eco-friendly toys like Atikoppaka,” the Prime Minister called for.

For the first time, ‘Strong and Empowered India’ is a tri-armed initiative
For the first time, the tri-service force will participate in the Republic Day parade with the theme ‘Strong and Secure India’. The Union Defense Ministry has announced this. It said the Tri-Service Shaktim will be displayed for the first time while on duty during the 76th Republic Day Parade on January 26, which will demonstrate the spirit of unity and solidarity. With the theme of ‘Strong and Empowered India’, it reflects the vision of unity and integration in the Shaktim Armed Forces, ensuring national security and operational excellence.
The image shows a joint operations room that facilitates networking and communication between the three armies. It displays battlefield scenarios showcasing operations on land, water and air with the indigenous Arjun main battle tank, Tejas MKII combat aircraft, advanced light helicopters, destroyer INS Visakhapatnam and remotely piloted aircraft. This reflects tri-service synergy in multi-domain operations. These platforms exemplify the approach to achieving ‘self-reliance’ in defence.
