Restricted Chinese apps: Government banned Chinese apps including pubzi, again appear in play stores
Restricted Chinese apps: Several Chinese apps banned in India have been again seen in the Play Store. They are in many categories, including gaming, shopping, entertainment and file sharing. At least 36 apps are now available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Some apps again appear with minor changes in branding. Other people have replaced developers or licensing partners.
Chinese apps with new names, owners
In 2020, India banned 267 Chinese apps for security reasons. It contains popular apps such as Tick Talk, Share It, Watcht and Sheen. In 2022, apps such as Pubji and Garena Free Fire were also banned. Restrictions were imposed in view of damage between India and China. However, some of these apps have again attacked the Indian market according to the changed circumstances.
Common TV too.
The File-Sharing App is now available in the Apple App Store as “Xsender: File Share, Share Music”. It is not yet available on Google Play Store. Streaming platforms Mango TV, Yuku, Shopping App Taobao and Dating App Tanon are back. While Mangotive retains its real name, Taobao is now listed as Mobile Taobao. The Tanten App is now re -designed as Tanten – Asian Dating app.

Some apps have taken options to recur India. The Xin App, which was previously banned in 2020, returned to India through a licensing deal with Reliance Retail. According to reports, all Sheen products sold in India are made locally according to economic policies. It was introduced on 1 February, titled ‘Sheen India Fast Fashion’, the app is currently expanding in selected cities. Reliance expects to integrate Sheen Offer on its Azio platform.
This dating app too
Both dating app Tanon Apple App Store and Google Play Store meet tinder returns. The iOS version is now listed under the Tanton Cultural Development (Beijing). The Android version is maintained by Tanten Hong Kong Limited.
Pubz and other gaming apps ..
In 2020, the popular gaming app in India was banned. It was removed from the app store. The company, which was then returned in 2021 as the Battle Grounds Mobile India (BGIM), was once again banned. BGMI was restored in 2023 after discussing with officials. These rebranded and replaced apps indicate Chinese platforms again to change India’s way. Some are choosing strategic partnership. According to other rules come with rebranding.
