RJY bus accident: Travels bus overturns in Rajahmundry, girl dies, 5 others seriously injured

RJY Bus Accident: A horrific road accident occurred in East Godavari. A Kaveri Travels bus carrying 40 passengers from Visakhapatnam to Hyderabad met with an accident at Katheru on the outskirts of Rajahmundry on Wednesday night.

Kaveri Travels bus overturned at Katheru on the outskirts of Rajahmundry. A speeding bus overturned while taking a turn on the National Highway due to road diversion near Brahmin Agraharam. The travels bus driver and cleaner fled immediately after the incident. There were 40 passengers in the bus at the time of the accident.

Five passengers were seriously injured when the bus overturned. A girl named Kona Mohana Kalyani of Visakhapatnam lost her life. Police learned that he was traveling in a Kaveri Travels bus to participate in an endurance test in Hyderabad.

Police admitted the injured to Kakinada Government Hospital. A total of 18 people were injured. 13 of them suffered minor injuries and after first aid they went to their native places. CH Koteswara Rao, Dhanalakshmi and Renuka from Kakinada were shifted to Kakinada Government Hospital. Tejaswini and Dikshita were admitted to KIMS hospital, three of the injured were shifted to Kakinada government hospital and two to KIMS for better treatment.
