Sankranti Trains: South Central Railway good news during Sankranti rush – more special trains, increase in Vande Bharat coaches

Sankranti special trains: South Central Railway is running special trains in view of the Sankranti rush. Railway officials have announced that Secunderabad-Vishakhapatnam-Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express (train number 20707/20708) will run with 16 coaches from January 13. It is learned that this train, which is currently running with 8 coaches (530 passenger capacity), will be available to passengers with 16 coaches (1,128 passenger capacity) from tomorrow. Earlier there was an executive class, 07 chair car. The new structure will have 14 chair cars with a capacity of 1,024. 02 Executive Class will run with a capacity of 104.

Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway, said that the doubling of coaches will lead to more passengers using Vande Bharat train services. He said that by doubling the number of coaches, more number of passengers will be able to go to their hometowns to celebrate Sankranti festival during the festive season.

South Central Railway has decided to run 36 more special trains in view of the festival rush. It has been announced that two special trains will be run between Secunderabad and Kakinada Town and two more special trains between Hyderabad and Kakinada Town. Along with this, mass simul trains will run between Charlapalli-Vishakhapatnam. These unreserved special trains will be available between Charlapalli-Vishakha stations from January 10 to 17. A total of 16 Jan Sim trains will run. For those who do not have prior reservation, unreserved trains run without any hassle for general passengers.
