Satyasai District: An incident of fatal attack on a woman on suspicion of helping a loving couple has come to light in Satyasai district. It happened at Munimadugu village in Penukonda mandal of Sri Sathyasai district on Wednesday.

According to the information given by the police, a 16-year-old girl from the same village fell in love with a young man from Munimadugu village. Both were in love. In this sequence, both of them ran away within a week. The girl’s parents lodged a complaint at the police station on Monday (13th of this month).

The police have started searching for them. Later their location was found and the girl was handed over to her parents. But the girl’s parents and relatives on Wednesday attacked a married woman from the same village, angry that she had helped the couple elope. The woman was stripped, her hair was cut and the woman was raped.

The result was that the married woman went into the house and closed the door. Immediately the local people took him to Penukonda Government Hospital. On receiving the information, Penukonda DSP Venkateshwarlu reached the hospital and collected information from the victim. The police also reached the incident site and investigated. After this, details were sought from the local people.

SI Rajesh said, as per their complaint, a case has been registered against the girl’s parents and 11 other relatives. Said that the matter will be investigated. He said that further action will be taken after the investigation of the case is completed. He said that the accused are currently in their custody. He said that it is atrocious that such inhuman incidents happen. He said that the victim is undergoing treatment and is currently being treated in a government hospital.
