Subramaniam said, “I am sad that the employees cannot work even on Sundays. I will be happy if you work on Sundays also, because I also work on Sundays.”

L&T Chairman Subramaniam said, “What will you do sitting at home? How long will you keep looking at your wife’s face? Come to the office and work.”

What is the salary of SN Subramaniam?

Subramanian took over as Chairman-MD of the leading construction company Larsen & Toubro on October 1, 2023. And in the financial year 2023-24 they will get Rs. 51 crore salary. Compared to last year, his salary has increased by 43.11 percent.

According to many reports.. Subramaniam’s base salary is Rs 20,000. 3.6 crores. Under commission Rs. 35.28 crores. Retirement benefit Rs. 10.5 crores. Under pre-requisites Rs. 1.67 crores.

Subramaniam’s salary is 534.57 times more than the average salary of employees working in L&T company! The average salary of the company’s employees in the financial year 2023-24 will be Rs. 9.55 lakh.

Subramaniam’s comments are being heavily criticized. From top businessmen to common employees are condemning his comments. Trolling is being done on social media platforms regarding this matter.

“How long do employees stare at screens?” One person commented.. “His married life is not good and the entire company is being sacrificed,” said another.

Another commented, “There’s nothing wrong with working on Sunday! But it should be for our growth.” “Hey… why are you alive? They say come and work,” said another.

Another said, “What will such people do after retirement? What will be their status after work.”

L&T company responded to the uproar over SN Subramaniam’s remarks.

“The chairman’s comments reflect India’s aspirations. Exceptional results require extraordinary work,” the company said in a statement.
