Solar Powered Eva Car: India’s first solar powered car ‘Wave Eva’ was launched at the Auto Expo 2025 in Delhi’s Pragati Maidan at a starting price of Rs 3.25 lakh (ex-showroom). ‘Wavy Eva’ is available in three variants – Nova, Stella and Vega. These batteries are available at Rs 3.25 lakh (ex-showroom) with subscription option. The battery is priced at Rs 3.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Only for 25 thousand people

The price of this solar powered car is limited to the first 25,000 customers only. Wavy Mobility first showcased its solar-powered EVA at the 2023 Auto Expo. The company says the Wave Eva is a sustainable and affordable urban commuting option, guaranteeing a range of 250 kilometers on a single charge, while the solar-powered car has a range of 3,000 kilometers per year.

Wavy EVA: range, running costs

Wavey says most owners have an average daily journey of less than 35 kilometres, and an average of less than 1.5 passengers per car. Therefore, the company says that the Eva EV (Electric Vehicle Update) meets these needs for urban mobility users. It claims that the maintenance cost is only 0.5 paise per kilometre. It is said that EVA is much cheaper than many electric cars (electric cars) currently on sale in the market. Startup Eva said that this solar-powered car can be used as a second car by city and town travelers. In terms of utility, this EVA EV will compete with MG Comet EV.

Wavy EVA: Features

It features a high-voltage powertrain with super fast charging and an additional range of 50 km. It also includes smartphone integration, over-the-air (OTA) updates, remote monitoring and vehicle diagnostics. Its design and engineering is lightweight, ensuring low operating costs and less pollution.
