Telangana student suicide: From the third year of BTech (Mathematics and Computing), a student of Telangana committed suicide in the campus of Amhara (BIHTA) campus in IIT Patna. He jumped out of the seventh floor of the hostel building. The exact reasons for the student suicide are not known.

Police said the incident took place at 11.30 am on Tuesday and informed the IIT Patna Police Station at 12 noon. Along with the police team, Professor TN Singh, director of IIT, a young man was found lying in a blood near the hostel. The police immediately rushed him to Netaji Subhash Medical College and Hospital. However, doctors have confirmed that the victim’s student has already died.

He said that the third year of BTech, a student of Telangana, fell from the hostel room balcony and was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead.
