TG Government Schemes: ‘Those lists are not final’ – Deputy CM Bhatti’s major announcement

Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramark clarified that the selection process of beneficiaries for the schemes will continue. People have been asked not to worry unnecessarily. The management of Gram Sabhas was reviewed through video conference with District Magistrates on Tuesday.

On this occasion, Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramark said that Gram Sabhas have been started for the implementation of 4 new schemes. He informed that 4938 village/ward meetings were held in the state on the first day. If there is any objection in the initial list of eligible persons of the schemes presented in the Gram Sabhas, it was received in writing and ordered to be investigated. It has been clarified that if found ineligible, they should be removed from the list.

No grant document…

Bhatti Vikramark said that the original list kept in the gram sabhas is not a grant document. Officials were advised to inform the public that this is only a list of applications. He directed the officials to explain to the people that if there are any eligible people then they will take the applications…and after scrutiny the schemes will be provided to the eligible people.

Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka suggested that applications for welfare schemes implemented by the government can be submitted at the public administration centers set up in mandals and municipalities. He said that the applications received at the public administration centers are reviewed from time to time and the schemes are implemented after selecting the eligible ones.

Give ration cards to eligible people – Minister Uttam

State Civil Supplies Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy said that there are 91 lakh white ration cards in the state. He said that there are 2 crore 80 lakh beneficiaries. He said that due to new ration cards not being issued in the last 10 years, the demand for it is high from the people.

Officials were advised to select eligible people by examining the applications received for ration cards in public administration and Meeseva centres. Since there is a ration card link for every welfare program implemented by the government, he directed that all eligible people get a ration card. He clarified that the ration card issue will continue as an ongoing process…people should be reassured on this issue. Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said that among those who have houses, they are identifying the poor on priority basis. He said that houses will be sanctioned under the first instalment.
