- Telangana government announced ‘Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa’ scheme for landless poor labourers.
- The main objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance at the rate of Rs 12 thousand every year in the name of Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa. Those laborers who do not come under the purview of Rythu Bharosa will be selected for this scheme. The details of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme will become important in the selection of beneficiaries.
- Officials estimate that more than 10 lakh laborers will be eligible for the Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa scheme. Although these estimates are preliminary…final details will be announced by the authorities after the field survey.
- If you want to opt for this scheme.. then the person should not have any kind of land. The government has basically decided to select those people as beneficiaries who have done at least 20 days of guaranteed employment in a year.
- A team of officers has already been constituted to select eligible candidates for this scheme. These teams tour the villages.
- On the basis of employment guarantee card… the family details of the farmer laborer will be checked. Mainly recognized names are placed before the Gram Sabha. These details will be read in the meeting.
- Any kind of objection will be received on the names declared in the Gram Sabha. After resolving these from every aspect, the officials will prepare the final list. Those who are eligible will get financial assistance of Rs 12 thousand in two phases.
- Gram Sabha will be organized in every Gram Panchayat of the state from 21st to 24th January to identify the eligible candidates for this scheme. The draft list of beneficiaries will be read. After this the final list of characters will be approved.
- While the official guidelines for the Rythu Bharosa Scheme have been released recently, the guidelines for the Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa Scheme are yet to be issued.
- The main opposition BRS says it is wrong not to recognize farmers who own land as agricultural labourers. There are 24.57 lakh farmers in the state who have less than one acre of land… Their demand is that all the farmer laborers should be given Rs 12,000 without any deduction.
