Officials say that they will soon submit a proposal to the government on the mid-day meal scheme for intermediate students. It is being told that there is a possibility of funds being allocated for this scheme in the upcoming budget. It is being told that the proposals will be submitted to the government by the end of this month. Officials estimate that if this scheme is implemented, it will cost Rs 20 to 25 per student. It is estimated that Rs 100 to 120 crore will be required annually.
