People coming from far away have to leave early. Due to this it is not possible to get food. Due to this, they are going home in the afternoon. Due to this dropout is increasing. The percentage of attendance should not be more than 50. To change this situation, the government has decided to implement the mid-day meal scheme for intermediate students.

Officials say that they will soon submit a proposal to the government on the mid-day meal scheme for intermediate students. It is being told that there is a possibility of funds being allocated for this scheme in the upcoming budget. It is being told that the proposals will be submitted to the government by the end of this month. Officials estimate that if this scheme is implemented, it will cost Rs 20 to 25 per student. It is estimated that Rs 100 to 120 crore will be required annually.

The committee constituted by the previous government had made it clear that Akshaya Patra should be implemented through the Foundation.
