TG Ration Card: The process of identification of eligible people will be faster from the day the new ration card is issued – What are the applications in Baldiya?

TG New Ration Card: Telangana government has expedited the process of issuing new ration cards. It is known that the guidelines for issuing new ration cards have been issued recently. GHMC has entered the field of issuing new ration cards in Hyderabad. The officials screened the applicants in 150 divisions under the guidance of GHMC Commission Ilambaarti to identify eligible candidates. GHMC aims to complete the selection of eligible candidates by 24th of this month and submit the report to the concerned District Collectors on 25th. Those who will apply for a new ration card will be verified with the information available with the government. After which it seems that new ration cards will be issued from 26th of this month.

The Telangana government recently conducted a comprehensive survey. While details of 22 lakh families were collected under GHMC, requests for new ration cards were received. After testing by the officials it was calculated that 83,285 people have applied for the new ration card. In the door-to-door survey, many people have registered details for the new ration card. New ration cards have not been issued for many years nor have any changes been made in the cards…thousands of people have applied for them.

The state government has issued guidelines for issuing new ration cards in Telangana. The State Civil Supplies Department will issue new ration cards from 26th of this month. The selection process of beneficiaries will be done as per the recommendations of the Cabinet Sub-Committee. After scrutiny of applications for ration cards, the list of families without ration cards on the basis of caste enumeration survey will be sent to the District Collector, GHMC Commissioner for regional verification. MPDO at divisional level, Municipal Commissioner at ULB…will be responsible for this process. The draft list of ration cards will be displayed in Gram Sabha and Ward. Upon approval…members will be added and changed in the ration card. The Civil Supplies Department has announced that new food security cards will be issued to every eligible family from 26th of this month.

Applications are offline

The government has said that applications for new ration cards should be taken through offline medium. The names of the characters are read out in village meetings. After this, the process of computerizing the applications and issuing new cards to the eligible people will be started from 26th of this month. It is reported that the government has decided to accept applications for changing the name in the existing cards. After marriage, he applied to remove his name from the horoscope and add his name to his daughters’ cards. Also, parents are applying to get their children’s names included in the ration card. Civil Supplies Department officials estimate that around 10 lakh applications will be received for the new ration card.

The design of ration cards will also change. Earlier cards were issued in electronic form. Now it seems that the government has decided to redesign the card and make it physical. Ministers and officials are discussing the design of the new ration card.
